As a leading provider of health care for the young, Miami Children's Hospital tends to over 185,000 children per year. Founded in 1950, the MCH now has over 650 physicians and 2000 staff members and is the only licensed specialty hospital for children in Southern Florida. In 2002, 2003 and 2004 US News and World Report has ranked it as one of the nation's top pediatric hospitals.

MCH offers all services in pediatric medical care from birth through adolescence. A grant from the Genesis Foundation supports the Miami Children's Hospital Foundation for Pediatric Kidney Research and the Pediatric Kidney Department.
